2026 beginner lessons start on February 23rd at the Greytown Town Hall from 6.15 to 8.30 and run for 10 weeks. Play in small novice groups follows on May 4th, May 11th and May 18th.
The lessons teach the basics of how to bid using Acol, and how to best play the hands. From the very start you meet and play with other new players, and you learn and move on together.
Following this, new members are buddied-up with more experienced players who will guide you through your first games and introduce you into the junior grade on Monday evenings.
After the lessons most people join the club and are given a New Zealand Bridge number that you use whenever you play in a club.
The cost is $50 for 12 weeks of lessons and includes tuition and comprehensive take-home notes.
